Was just on the weekend wedding photography contract with nuts and have once again turned in the old albums from the 60s - my toddler time. Since very few photos were made at that time for reasons of cost, most of them also pretty small, but the photos are almost all good and the album is lovingly designed. That's a thousand times better than a large amount of images in little appealing presentation viewing. After the third, similar image, it just sucks the viewer watching.
More than 150 pictures in the slide evening should fall under the prohibition of torture ;-)

Especially when presenting the photos you should make sure only the 'best' to select everything else is boring. Not slow boring, but very quickly right boring. I choose it carefully when I show only family and friends photos via the Internet.
Also I delete after each transfer of images to the PC immediately the 'bad' i.e. shaking, seeing only from the back, eyes half to etc. Here I go three or four times through the files until only the last remnant is left. Approximately 20%, and is later look through that then still too much. So, again reduce. Because you have about his shadow jump :-)
On my hard drive, even so-called "test photos" from the first few weeks are when I got my digital camera. Ten times the same boring subject with different apertures, times etc. Even for me a terrible clickthrough.
I believe the dubious that the more photos accumulate on the PC in a few years no time remains more also to look at them. That means they are almost worthless and almost as good as I would have saved no pictures. Especially if it's in the tens of thousands...

At regular intervals, I clean the plate and sort out. From a folder that contains 140 images I'm looking for about 10 aus...beim of next time then 3 out of the 10, etc...
Analogue times I started to photograph - it was an expensive hobby, and my results have been very unsatisfactory for me. Since I never recommended, took notes as the beginner to the exposure of my shots, the "successes" low, the results were strong from the coincidence depending on. I had never owned a darkroom...
...da the most digital photographers today post processing (electronic darkroom) yourself, a different meaning is the "raw material". For example I use out and again I delete photos for Geburtstagskarten...bei folders with vacation photos for example less than that of portrait photos, vacation photos document a part of my life in some way...
I looked straight time: approx. 50 GB including TIFF and photo shop documents, edits, etc...
